SearchImport is simply a PPC Search Engine. Better
known as Pay Per Click, Pay For Performance or Pay Per Customer. We provide top
quality search results to our visitors from 15 major search engines. Clients are able to
sign up for an account and enter keywords that our searchers may be looking for.
Each client has full control as to where their listing will appear, simply by bidding higher for
the keyword than their competitor. The higher you bid, the closer to the number one position your
keyword will appear.
You can also Own Your Keyword and not have to worry
about rising bids
When an account is opened and keywords are added, you can have
visitors visit your site to see your offer. You control how much you spend and you are only
charged when a visitor actually goes to your site. Other clients could be after the same keywords
you have, so you may need to bid a little higher to get yourself in a better position.
SearchImport has one of the easiest systems for
adding your site. This little tour will show you exactly how to do it.
Remember, when you make a first deposit, we
double it.
Add Your Site
You can click on "Add Your Site" at
the top of
every page on our site to create a new account.
To add your site, you
first need to select as many keywords as you can. The more keywords you add, the more
traffic you get. You should also consider keywords that are misspelled or mixed with other words to
create a phrase that "targets" the visitors you're looking for.
For instance, you don't want to target the keyword "travel"
if you only service one area like Mexico. You would only get wasted clickthroughs from visitors
wanting to go to Jamaica, Brazil, Caribbean, etc. Your keyword should be "travel to
Mexico", "Mexican holiday", etc, etc. These keywords would be
less competitive, cost you less to bid on, and get you "targeted" visitors.
If you need suggestions, you can get hundreds from Our Free Service.
When adding keywords in your Control Panel,
you will see a template similar to the one below. You can also bulk submit hundreds of keywords at one
time.
What Keyword would you like?
The next part of the process is the title that will appear
when a visitor does a search using one of your keywords. This is a good place to mention the area or
type of business you do. This will make sure you don't get worthless traffic. If we use the Mexico
example above, the title should be something like this. "We offer Travel packages to
Mexico".
What Title would you like to appear?
If a searcher used one of your keywords and also likes your
title, they will read your description next. This is where you should avoid the
"tire kickers" from clicking through to your site. These are people that
are just looking right now and will choose something very cheap when they're ready. For instance, if
you sell "high end" travel packages, meaning, they are expensive, your
description should mention this.
You have to remember that our service can be used for pre-screening
visitors to your site. You may not want ALL the searchers that are looking for travel
packages to Mexico because yours has many more options than what is offered elsewhere and it's much
more expensive. You want to make sure that the visitors that come to your site, know exactly what they
are in for.
A description example could be like this. We offer the ultimate Mexican travel package that includes airfare, resort reservations, all
meals and drinks included, a car rental, tour bus bookings, and a complimentary bottle of champagne
every day. Packages starting at $6,800 for a seven day stay.
What Description would you like?
This next step is the easy part. You just enter the URL, or
location of the page you wish to send your visitors too. EX: http://MyMexicanPackages.com
What is the URL to your page?
The last part of the entry is the keyword cost.
This is how much money will be deducted from your account whenever a visitor clicks your link
and goes to your site. If there are other people bidding on this keyword it could cost you more than a
penny. However, never over bid. We have some clients that enter 10 cents for a
keyword, even if no one else is biding on it. That means, they could have had 9 other visitors to
their site for the same price.
Being the highest bidder is not always the best solution
either. For instance, your keyword "Mexico Vacation" has several bidders.
The number one position is paying 25 cents. Number two is paying 20
cents, number three position is paying 15 cents, number four is paying 10
cents, and number five is paying 5 cents. As long as you're in the top five,
most searchers will see your listing.
If you bid 26 cents, you'll be at number
one. However, if you bid 6 cents, you're still in the top five.
Why spend more than you have too.
If you plan to add hundreds of keywords, then researching
every one of them can be very time consuming. Most clients enter the basic 1 cent bid and then go into
their Control Panel and Update Bids from there. If you are the type
that likes to be number one all the time, there is a quick "Update All Keywords To Number
One" button.
However, for those of you that are more money conscious, you
will see your keywords listed, the cost to be number one, your current cost, and your current
position. You just choose how far up the ladder you wish to go. Those that control their spending this
way can make $25 go a long way.
The best way to determine how much you can spend
is by using visitor to sales ratios. Just figure out how many visitors you
need to have before you make a sale. Most site logs can help you out with that. If you don't
have site logs, or stats, get another Hosting Company.
For example, your logs tell you that you had 100
visitors before you made a sale. 1 out of 100 is your ratio. It will most
likely go up and down for some time but this should give you a good idea. Now you take the cost of
your package and deduct all expenses from the total cost. Like shipping and handling, packaging, time
involved, taxes, etc. You will arrive at your pure profit.
To make the math easy, lets say you make $100 from
each package sold. It took you 100 visitors before you sold 1 package making
$100. This means, to break even, you can't spend more than $1 per visitor. If the
keyword you want is $1 to bid on, just add other words to it to make it a phrase. It will cost you
much less and get you more targeted sales. You don't want to spend all your profits trying to get more
sales.
